Magandang Araw... Welcome to our "sharing garden" project. As of now, we are volunteers of 10 young people in our neighborhood willing and ready to start a garden.
Inspired by the "Sharing Gardens" project of Llyn Peabody and Chris Burns in Oregon, USA (http://alpinegarden.blogspot.com/), we started this project hoping to learn the importance of gardening and sharing. On the other hand, we also want to share not only the food from the harvest but also this skill in the future to schools and communities in any way possible.
Furthermore, another main reason in starting this gardening project is the idea of encouraging and teaching young people like us to promote and practice organic gardening in their schools and community and uphold the right to healthy food and well-being. We all have the freedom to grow gardens and the responsibility to stop the industries that uses harmful pesticides and chemicals in producing food.
